Pianist Elaine Rombola, a native of Los Angeles transplanted to Boston, performs regularly in both solo and chamber music concerts. She has performed with the Callithumpian Consort, the Essex Chamber Players, Ludovico Ensemble, EmbryonicNOISE, the NEC Philharmonia and the Mark Warhol Ensemble. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Oberlin Conservatory and a Master of Music in Piano Performance from New England Conservatory.
She is a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher as well, working with students of all levels and most ages (3 to 88). She feels that the love and knowledge of music must be shared; she has gratefully found that she is constantly learning new things about playing the piano while teaching lessons. She is the Program Director of the Summer Institute for Contemporary Performance Practice at NEC, and has an ongoing collaboration project with sculptor Nathalie Miebach called Weather Scores.
